PostBar
Postal bar codes speed up mail delivery.
If you pre-print postal bar codes, your mail skips the post
office bar code printers, is sorted by computer, and is
delivered sooner. Your letters, invoices, and statements with
pre-printed bar codes can be delivered up to twice as fast as
mail that does not have pre-printed postal bar codes.
Barcoding saves you money
If you mail more than 250 pieces of First Class Mail at a time,
or more than 200 pieces of Third Class Mail at a time (whether
or not you presort), you can add bar codes and received
significant postage savings. If you presort and barcode your
mail, you can receive even greater postage discounts. Some
restrictions apply. Contact your local post office for details
about postal discounts.
Use your existing PC and Printer
POSTBAR will operate on any IBM compatible personal computer
with a dot-matrix printer, PRINTONIX printer, or Hewlett Packard
compatible laser printer.
USPS Certified
Electronic Technologies has been producing bar code printing
software for personal computers since 1985. POSTBAR is the
first and original TSR software certified by the United States
Postal Service.
POSTBAR ADDS BAR CODES TO PROGRAMS YOU ALREADY USE
Our unique POSTBAR program works with your existing software.
First, load POSTBAR*. Then, run your current accounting
program, word processor, or mailing program. When you print,
the "Smart Mode" finds the zip code and automatically adds the
bar code above or below the address. You can then use window
envelopes to display the barcoded address and qualify for
postage discounts. No programming is required. There are no
changes to your existing software. Our new POSTBAR software:
*prints bar codes on letters, invoices, statements, mail merges,
envelopes, post cards, labels, and flats;
*works with existing mail management programs, word processors,
accounting programs, database programs, etc.;
*works with almost any IBM-PC program that prints addresses;
POSTBAR is used by some US Postal Centers and Offices.
